Support for when life feels overwhelming
I’m Anna (she/her), a Hawthorn (Victoria) based clinical psychologist working with adults (18+), including those in the LGBTQIA+ community, in a warm, collaborative and affirming way. Together, we make sense of what’s going on, deepen your insight and understanding of yourself and build on your strengths to create meaningful change.
I am experienced in supporting adults through a range of emotional and mental health challenges including but not limited to depression, anxiety, stress and relationship difficulties. I understand that starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and I aim to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and genuinely supported.
My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, neuroaffirming and strengths-based. I see therapy as a partnership — working together to make sense of your experiences, build practical skills, and support meaningful, lasting change. I draw on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Schema Therapy, tailoring our work to your individual needs.
I value diversity and inclusion and welcome people from all backgrounds and identities. I have a particular interest in supporting people in the LGBTQIA+ community and I am committed to providing a respectful, non-judgmental space where your unique story is honoured.
I have a Masters of Psychology (Clinical) and extensive experience working with individuals across the lifespan in community mental health, hospitals, child and youth mental health services, neurodevelopmental services as well as group facilitation. Prior to registration as a general psychologist I worked for close to 10 years in mental health services in Australia and the UK.
If I sound like I could be a good fit for you, please get in touch.
I currently offer sessions in person or via telehealth (video call) on Wednesdays.
